At this week’s meeting, the County Council approved spending $65,343,065 from the American Rescue Plan Act funds. Here is how the funds will be used.

1. $18.5 million for support of the South County Strong Plan.

2. $23.8 million to the police for a regional information and intelligence center, a new combined Central County Precincts and Evidence Control Center and a training facility and range.

3. $650,000 to programs designed to address food insecurity in St. Louis County Council District 1.

4. $350,000 for A Red Circle programs and services addressing food insecurity in district 4.

5. $250,000 for Rustic Roots Sanctuary programs and services addressing food insecurity in district 4.

6. $4.4 million for programs, services, and projects designed to provide long-term solutions to food insecurity in district 4.

7. $11 million for demolition activities necessary to address vacant and abandoned properties within St. Louis County.

8. $5,593,065 for Child Care Aware of Missouri to support the T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Program and the WAGE$ Program.

9. $800,000 for Family Forward programs, services and projects designed to improve access to comprehensive therapeutic and educational services to support biological, foster and adoptive families in St. Louis County.
