Emilee Dougherty, West Plains, and Kale Willison, Thayer, have been crowned the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) 2023 Grizzly Homecoming Queen and King, respectively.

The crowning took place during halftime activities of Saturday’s annual homecoming game in Joe Paul Evans Arena at the West Plains Civic center.

They were crowned by the 2022 Grizzly Homecoming King and Queen, Jackson Wright, West Plains, and Riley Gilmore, Bragg City.

Both Dougherty and Willison were sponsored by the Campus Influencers/Ambassadors.

Members of the 2023 Grizzly Homecoming Court gathered for a group photo following the crowning of the king and queen at halftime.

King candidates included:

  • Andrew Howard, Piedmont, sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA)
  • Logan Thompson, Iberia, sponsored by Christian Campus House (CCH)
  • Shane Hull, Bloomfield, sponsored by the HOPE mental health advocacy group

Queen candidates were:

  • Sarah-Ann Kelley, Dixon, sponsored by SGA
  • Grace Mathews, Ava, sponsored by CCH
  • Hailey Baldwin, Salem, sponsored by the Grizzly Cheer Team
