The St. Louis Blues announced on Apr. 15 that defenseman Arseni Koromyslov has signed a two-year, two-way entry-level contract with the team, set to begin in the 2026-27 season.
The signing is notable as it brings a young player with experience in Russia’s top hockey league to the Blues’ roster for future seasons.
According to Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong, Koromyslov played in 61 regular-season games this season for Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), recording one goal and sixteen assists along with forty penalty minutes. He also participated in five playoff games, registering one assist.
Koromyslov, who is from Moskva, Russia, has appeared in a total of 158 KHL regular-season games over six seasons. During that time he accumulated four goals, twenty-eight assists, and sixty-eight penalty minutes. The defenseman was selected by the Blues as the No. 120 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2022 National Hockey League Draft.
Looking ahead, Koromyslov will join the organization starting with the 2026-27 season under his new contract.
