St. Louis CITY SC lost 3-0 to Los Angeles FC on Saturday night at Energizer Park. Denis Bouanga scored the opening goal for LAFC in the 15th minute, and Son Heung-Min added two more goals to secure the win for the visitors.

The match marked St. Louis CITY SC’s 50th regular season home game and included a milestone as the one millionth fan entered Energizer Park since the club’s inaugural season in 2023.

Bouanga put LAFC ahead early with a right-footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner. Son Heung-Min doubled LAFC’s lead just before halftime, finishing a pass from Artem Smolyakov and Mathieu Choiniere in stoppage time of the first half. Son scored again in the 60th minute, assisted by Smolyakov.

For St. Louis CITY SC, Sangbin Jeong received a caution in the third minute, while teammates Célio Pompeu, Eduard Löwen, Timo Baumgartl, and João Klauss were also booked during the match. LAFC’s Eddie Segura was cautioned in the second half.

St. Louis managed nine total shots with three on target and earned two corner kicks but could not break through LAFC’s defense. Goalkeeper Roman Bürki made four saves for St. Louis CITY SC.

LAFC recorded 21 shots with seven on goal and four corners while committing eight fouls compared to St. Louis’ fourteen.

Referee Victor Rivas officiated alongside assistants Jeremy Kieso, Lyles Arfa, and Benjamin Meyer at Energizer Park.

St. Louis CITY SC will play its final road match of the season next weekend against Austin FC at Q2 Stadium.
