St. Louis CITY SC announced that defender Joey Zalinsky will join Indy Eleven on loan for the remainder of the 2025 season in the USL Championship.

“This move gives Joey the chance to earn more playing time at a high level, which is exactly what he needs at this stage of his career,” said St. Louis CITY SC Technical Director John Hackworth. “He’s a hardworking player with a lot of potential, and with more reps, he will continue to grow both on and off the field.”

Zalinsky has appeared in nine MLS matches so far. He made his league debut as a substitute against Sporting Kansas City on May 14. His professional debut was during St. Louis’ 2-0 victory in the U.S. Open Cup, where he also scored his first professional goal. Drafted in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, Zalinsky earned his first MLS start when CITY SC defeated San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 on May 31. He has also played for CITY2, St. Louis’ MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, making 11 appearances this season.
