St Louis CITY2 will travel to Texas to face Austin FC II at Parmer Field on Friday, September 19, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT. The match marks the final meeting between the two teams this season and will be streamed live on mlsnextpro.com.

In their previous outing, CITY2 secured a 3-2 victory in a penalty shootout against MNUFC2 after regulation time ended in a draw. This result marked CITY2’s fourth shootout win of the year and was goalkeeper Christian Olivares’s third such victory this season. Minnesota took an early lead in the first half, but Cam Cilley leveled the score in the 80th minute with a goal assisted by Miguel Perez from a corner kick.

Cilley now has three goals this year, while Perez notched his third assist of 2025. With this result, CITY2 surpassed their total points from last season, reaching more than 56 points overall. The team is currently unbeaten in its last 16 matches.

The teams have met twice already this year. Their March fixture at Energizer Park ended 0-0 before CITY2 won 5-4 on penalties. In July at Parmer Field, St Louis recorded a 4-2 win over Austin and achieved an MLS NEXT Pro record by securing their eighth straight victory. That match featured goals from Miguel Perez and Wan Kuzain and a brace by Mykhi Joyner.

Austin FC II has won two of its last five matches, including most recently defeating Tacoma Defiance 2-1. Austin is contending for postseason play as it holds the final playoff spot with 38 points and a record of nine wins, eight draws, and eight losses. Midfielder Jorge Alastuey leads Austin with eight goals and five assists this season. Defensively, Austin has conceded only 31 goals—the fewest in the Western Conference—while CITY2 ranks third with 33 goals allowed. At home at Parmer Field, Austin has lost just twice while winning five times so far this season.
