St Louis CITY2 will host Minnesota United FC 2 on Friday, September 12 at Energizer Park. The match, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT, will be available to watch live on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.

In their last match before a bye week, CITY2 played Houston Dynamo 2 at SaberCats Stadium. The game ended in a 2-2 draw and was followed by a penalty shootout where St Louis lost 4-3. Despite the shootout loss, the team earned a point from the draw and maintained their position at the top of MLS NEXT Pro standings with an unbeaten streak now at 15 matches.

Gabriel Mikina and Caden Glover each scored their third goals of the season during that game. Mikina currently leads all CITY2 defenders in goals scored this year. As a team, CITY2 has netted 55 goals so far this season, surpassing last year’s total of 53.

Friday’s match marks the final regular-season meeting between St Louis and Minnesota. In previous encounters this year, CITY2 won both times—first with a 3-2 victory on May 18 in Minnesota, where Mykhi Joyner scored twice and Miguel Perez secured the game-winner; then with a decisive 4-0 win on July 27 featuring goals from Brendan McSorley, Miguel Perez, Cam Cilley, and Caden Glover.

Minnesota United FC 2 enters Friday’s contest after defeating Austin FC II by one goal on September 5. That result placed them seventh in the Western Conference standings. Their overall record stands at ten wins, nine losses, and five draws; they have four wins in five August matches and hold a road record of four wins, five losses, and three draws. Five players have scored three or more goals for MNUFC2 this season—Luke Hille leads with ten while Logan Dorsey has seven—and midfielder Curt Calov tops the team with seven assists.

“Fans can watch the match live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.”
