St. Louis CITY SC has announced a new partnership with Energizer aimed at strengthening the club’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainability during matchday operations at Energizer Park.
The initiative centers on St. Louis CITY SC’s purchase of Green-e Certified Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), which are intended to support clean energy production. With Energizer’s support, the club has teamed up with Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), an organization recognized for its work in advancing renewable energy projects nationwide. This collaboration ensures that all Major League Soccer matches held by CITY SC are powered by renewable energy sources, according to the organizations involved. For 2025, the club has purchased RECs representing 1.3 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy benefits.
“Energizer’s involvement goes beyond sponsorship; it empowers CITY SC to amplify its impact and educate the community about the importance of renewable energy and energy management. Together, Energizer and CITY SC are not only electrifying the stadium —they are sparking a movement that encourages fans and the community to take meaningful steps toward a cleaner, greener future,” according to statements from those involved in the partnership.
The program is designed not only to reduce the stadium’s carbon footprint but also to encourage fans and local residents to support broader adoption of renewable energy.
