St. Louis CITY SC and FC Dallas played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at Energizer Park. St. Louis took the lead in the 32nd minute when Célio Pompeu scored his second MLS goal of the season, assisted by Eduard Löwen. The goal came after Dallas goalkeeper Michael Collodi was sent off with a red card earlier in the half, forcing Dallas to play with ten men.
Dallas responded quickly, equalizing just three minutes later through Petar Musa, who converted a right-footed shot from the right side of the box. Chris Cappis provided the assist for Dallas' goal.
Eduard Löwen's assist marked his third of the 2025 MLS season and continued his run of form, having contributed to three goals in as many matches for St. Louis CITY SC (two goals and one assist). At Energizer Park, Löwen now has 28 goal contributions—12 goals and 16 assists—in 35 matches, which is the most all-time for any CITY player.
Following this result, St. Louis CITY SC will travel to face CF Montréal on Saturday, September 13 at Stade Saputo.
The match statistics reflected St. Louis’ attacking pressure: they recorded 41 total shots with 14 on target and earned 16 corner kicks. Dallas managed five shots, two on target, and seven corners while making 13 saves.
The referee team included Allen Chapman as head referee with assistants Kevin Klinger, Walt Heatherly, and Alexis Da Silva. Video review was overseen by Kevin Stott (VAR) and Fabio Tovar (AVAR).
Lineups for St. Louis included Roman Bürki in goal; defenders Conrad Wallem, Fallou Fall, Henry Kessler, Devin Padelford; midfielders Chris Durkin, Eduard Löwen, Célio Pompeu, Marcel Hartel; forwards Simon Becher and João Klauss. Substitutions were made in the second half including Tomas Totland for Padelford and Tomáš Ostrák for Pompeu.
For Dallas, Michael Collodi started in goal before being ejected; defenders included Osaze Urhoghide and Lalas Abubakar among others; midfielders Patrickson Delgado and Anderson Julio featured alongside Christian Cappis; Petar Musa led the attack until being substituted late in the game.
The misconduct summary noted Collodi’s ejection in the 16th minute and a yellow card issued to Patrickson Delgado at the hour mark.
Both teams will look ahead to their next fixtures as the MLS season continues.
