Blues sign Justin Carbonneau and Nikita Susuev to entry-level contracts

The St. Louis Blues have signed two prospects, Justin Carbonneau and Nikita Susuev, to three-year, two-way entry-level contracts. The announcement was made by Doug Armstrong, the team's President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.

Justin Carbonneau, 18, was selected in the first round of the 2025 NHL Draft. He has played for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL over the past three seasons. In the 2024-25 season, Carbonneau led his team with 89 points and 46 goals in 62 regular-season games. His performance ranked him second overall in points in the QMJHL for that season. As a result, he was named to the league’s 2024-25 First All-Star Team. Over his career in the QMJHL, Carbonneau has recorded a total of 168 points (82 goals and 86 assists) and accumulated 103 penalty minutes across 162 regular-season games.

Nikita Susuev, age 20, was drafted by St. Louis in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft. He has spent his playing career in Russia. During the 2024-25 season, Susuev scored eight goals and had ten assists for a total of 18 points in 42 games across all competitions. In Russia's top league, the KHL, he has appeared in games for Spartak Moskva and Admiral Vladivostok and registered nine points (six goals and three assists) over 55 career KHL games. In addition to his time in the KHL, Susuev has also played in Russia’s top junior league (MHL), where he tallied a total of 54 points (20 goals and 34 assists) over 72 career games.
