Several top prospects have been recognized for their performances in the 2025 Double-A Minor League Baseball season. On Tuesday, Minor League Baseball announced its annual awards and All-Star teams for the level, highlighting standout players from each league.

Sal Stewart of the Chattanooga Lookouts (Cincinnati Reds) was named both Southern League MVP and Top Prospect. Stewart, ranked No. 30 on MLB’s Top 100 Prospects list, delivered a strong season with a high OPS and consistent hitting performance. Jonah Tong of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets), ranked No. 43 by MLB, earned Eastern League Pitcher of the Year after leading all Minor Leagues in strikeouts and maintaining an ERA below 2.00.

For the St. Louis Cardinals organization, middle infielder JJ Wetherholt was named Texas League MVP after posting a .300 batting average with a .425 on-base percentage over just 62 games for Springfield before his promotion to Triple-A. "The Cardinals' top prospect only needed 62 games to make a big impact for Springfield," according to Minor League Baseball's announcement. Wetherholt also led qualified hitters in OBP and walked more times than he struck out.

Cardinals left-hander Ixan Henderson received Texas League Pitcher of the Year honors. "Henderson has pitched in parts of three pro seasons since the Cardinals selected him in the eighth round of the 2023 Draft, and he's yet to have an ERA above 3.00," stated Minor League Baseball. Henderson finished with a league-best 2.59 ERA, allowed just five home runs across 132 innings, and recorded 134 strikeouts.

Other major award winners included Felix Reyes (Philadelphia Phillies) as Eastern League MVP; Ty Johnson (Tampa Bay Rays) as Southern League Pitcher of the Year; Jett Williams (New York Mets) as Eastern League Top Prospect; and Sebastian Walcott (Texas Rangers) as Texas League Top Prospect.

All-Star teams were also announced for each Double-A circuit, featuring several top prospects such as Aidan Miller (Philadelphia Phillies), Max Anderson (Detroit Tigers), Abimelec Ortiz (Texas Rangers), Tommy Troy (Arizona Diamondbacks), Carter Jensen (Kansas City Royals), Victor Labrada (Seattle Mariners), Kala'i Rosario (Minnesota Twins), Joshua Baez (St. Louis Cardinals/MLB No.11), Brycen Mautz (St. Louis Cardinals No.21), among others.

Managers recognized include Reid Brignac of Binghamton, Joe Ayrault of Biloxi, and Patrick Anderson of Springfield.
