The 2025 Minor League Baseball season featured notable performances from prospects across various organizations, with MLB Pipeline announcing its All-MiLB Prospect First and Second Teams to recognize top players at each position. The St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles led all organizations, each placing three players on the combined teams.

Among the Cardinals' honorees, JJ Wetherholt was recognized for his achievements during his first full professional season. After being drafted seventh overall, Wetherholt played at both Double-A and Triple-A levels, posting a .306 batting average with 17 home runs and 23 stolen bases over 109 games. He received MVP honors in the Texas League and was named Triple-A's Top MLB Prospect. According to MLB Pipeline, "He proved to be the complete package with burgeoning power (.203 ISO), efficient baserunning (23 steals in 26 attempts) and a sharp eye at the plate (72 walks and 12 HBP to 73 strikeouts). He also showed more defensive versatility by rotating between second, third and shortstop."

Deniel Ortiz also represented the Cardinals after being selected in the 16th round of the 2024 draft. Ortiz recorded a .300 batting average with 13 home runs and 39 stolen bases over 107 games between Single-A and High-A levels.

Rainiel Rodriguez rounded out the Cardinals' selections as designated hitter on the Second Team. Rodriguez posted a .276 average with 20 home runs across Rookie-level Florida Complex League, Single-A, and a brief stint at High-A.

Sixteen organizations were represented among both teams. In addition to the Cardinals and Orioles leading with three selections each, other clubs such as the Mariners, Pirates, Reds, and Tigers had two representatives apiece.

Selections were made from players who appeared on their team's Top 30 Prospects list during part of the season. Considerations included age, level of play, and minor league production.

The recognition comes as part of ongoing coverage by MLB Pipeline of prospect performance throughout Minor League Baseball.
