The St. Louis Blues have reached an agreement with goaltender Georgii Romanov on a one-year, two-way contract, according to an announcement from Doug Armstrong, the team's President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.
Romanov will join the Springfield Thunderbirds, the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
Last season, Romanov played primarily for the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda. He appeared in 21 regular-season games, recording an 11-6-3 record with a 3.10 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.
Over his career in the AHL, Romanov has participated in 50 regular-season games. His overall record stands at 20-15-13, with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.
In addition to his AHL experience, Romanov has played in 10 National Hockey League (NHL) regular-season games for the San Jose Sharks. During those appearances, he posted a 3.53 goals-against average and a .888 save percentage.
