St. Louis CITY SC faced a 4-2 defeat against Orlando City SC on Wednesday night at Energizer Park. The match saw Orlando take an early lead with Ramiro Enrique scoring in the seventh minute, followed by two more goals within the first 25 minutes. St. Louis responded with a goal from Simon Becher just before halftime, and João Klauss added another in stoppage time of the first half, bringing them closer to a draw.

Despite their efforts in the second half, St. Louis could not prevent Orlando from securing their fourth goal of the night, ultimately claiming victory and three points from the game. St. Louis CITY SC is set to play next against Houston Dynamo on Saturday, June 28.

In postgame notes, it was highlighted that Simon Becher scored his second goal of the season while Tomas Totland earned his first assist this year. Roman Bürki marked his second consecutive MLS assist in 2025 and made his 500th club career appearance during this match. João Klauss scored his sixth goal of the season and has been consistent over recent matches.

The goal-scoring plays were detailed as follows: Ramiro Enrique scored for Orlando in both the seventh and twenty-second minutes with assists from Martin Ojeda and Eduard Atuesta respectively; Marco Pasalic also netted twice for Orlando in the ninth and eighty-second minutes with assists from Eduard Atuesta; Simon Becher's forty-minute goal came via Tomas Totland's assist; João Klauss scored for St. Louis during first-half stoppage time.

Referee Guido Gonzales Jr., along with assistant referees Ryan Graves, Walt Heatherly, Matt Thompson, VAR Kevin Terry Jr., and AVAR Jeffrey Greeson officiated at Energizer Park under mostly sunny conditions at 88 degrees.
