Fallou Fall, Defender | St. Louis City SC
St. Louis CITY SC has announced the signing of Senegalese defender Fallou Fall from Fredrikstad FK, a Norwegian club. The transfer is permanent, and Fall will occupy an international roster slot pending his P-1 visa, International Transfer Certificate (ITC), and medical completion. He joins as a U22 Initiative player under contract through 2028, with an option for 2029. His eligibility to compete begins when Major League Soccer's Secondary Transfer Window opens on July 24.
“Fallou is a young, line-breaking defender who brings the size, athleticism and defensive instincts we value in our back line,” stated Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel. “At just 21 years old, he’s still developing, but we believe his physical tools, technical ability and mentality give him the foundation to grow into an important piece for our squad. He’s someone who can help us this season and, even more importantly, be part of our long-term vision. Bringing in a player like Fallou reflects our approach to adding young talent and building a competitive team for both the now and the future.”
This season with Fredrikstad FK in the Norwegian Eliteserien, Fall made ten appearances starting each match and logging over 880 minutes. His aerial presence contributed to Fredrikstad's strong defense with five clean sheets and fewest goals conceded in the league. He was also part of their 2024 Norwegian Cup-winning squad.
Before Norway, Fall joined Stade de Reims in January 2023 from Senegal. His consistent performances earned him a Ligue 1 debut against Olympique Lyonnais in May 2023.
The center back stands at six-foot-four and has represented Senegal at the U23 level internationally.
