St Louis CITY2 extended their unbeaten streak to 16 matches after a 1-1 draw and a 3-2 penalty shootout win over Minnesota United FC 2 on Friday night. The match, played at Energizer Park, saw Minnesota take the lead in the eighth minute when Logan Dorsey scored from the center of the box, assisted by Kieran Chandler and Loic Mesanvi. Minnesota held a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
CITY2 equalized in the 80th minute when Cam Cilley headed in a corner delivered by Miguel Perez. With no winner in regulation time, the teams went to penalties. Goalkeeper Christian Olivares made two saves during the shootout, and Wan Kuzain scored the decisive penalty for CITY2.
