A day after focusing on enhancing their starting pitching staff, the St. Louis Cardinals continued to strengthen their roster during Day 2 of the MLB Draft. The team selected two more power pitchers and an outfielder.

The Cardinals picked left-handed pitcher Liam Doyle with the No. 5 pick and right-hander Tanner Franklin with the No. 72 pick on Sunday night. Additionally, they drafted Tennessee high school center fielder Ryan Mitchell with the No. 55 pick and University of San Diego first baseman Jack Gurevitch in the third round.

Day 2 of the draft began Monday at 11:30 a.m. ET and will continue through its conclusion, covering Rounds 4-20. Fans can watch live coverage on MLB.com and MLB.TV for updates throughout the event.

Further details about some of the Cardinals' selections include:

Cade Crossland was chosen in Round 4 (No. 120 overall) from Oklahoma University. Known for his fastball that ranges between 91-94 mph, Crossland struck out nine batters against Nebraska in an NCAA Regional game.

Ethan Young, a former third baseman turned pitcher from East Carolina University, was picked in Round 5 (No. 150 overall). He recorded a perfect season by going 5-0 with three saves for his team.

Matthew Miura from the University of Hawaii was selected in Round 6 (No. 180 overall). Miura is recognized for his plate discipline, walking twice as many times as he struck out this past season.

Payton Graham from Gonzaga University came into attention despite requiring Tommy John surgery after just one game this year where he showcased his potential with seven strikeouts over five innings.

Ryan Weingartner from Penn State University was picked in Round 8 (No. 240 overall). His speed stands out as he stole bases successfully in nearly all attempts during his college season.

Michael Dattalo from Dallas Baptist University went in Round 9 (No.270 overall). Known for bat-to-ball skills, Dattalo needs to enhance his power production moving forward.

Finally, Ty Van Dyke from Stetson (Fla.) University closed off these selections in Round10 (No.300 overall), boasting impressive statistics including a low ERA and strong strikeout ratio over relief appearances.
