St. Louis CITY SC secured a 3-1 victory over Nashville SC on Saturday night at Energizer Park, improving their home record against Eastern Conference teams to 6-2-2. Jaziel Orozco opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with his first career MLS goal, assisted by Devin Padelford. João Klauss extended the lead in the 39th minute after receiving a pass from Eduard Löwen.

In the second half, Sangbin Jeong added another goal for St. Louis in the 66th minute, marking his first for the club. Nashville’s Hany Mukhtar scored a penalty in the 85th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome.

Fallou Fall made his MLS debut after joining CITY SC on July 15. "Jaziel Orozco scored his first career MLS goal," according to team officials. Orozco became only the second player to score an MLS goal after signing with the first team from CITY2, following John Klein.

João Klauss’s tally marked his eighth of the season and tenth across all competitions for St. Louis. Sangbin Jeong recorded his inaugural goal with CITY SC during this match as well.

Devin Padelford earned his third career assist while Eduard Löwen registered his second assist of the season and reached a milestone as "the first player in club history to reach 20 career assists in regular season play." Simon Becher also contributed with his first assist of this season and seventh overall.

CITY SC has now achieved a plus-12 goal difference in home matches against Eastern Conference opponents since entering Major League Soccer.

The team will travel next week to SeatGeek Stadium to face Chicago Fire FC on August 16 at 7:30 p.m. CT.

The referee crew for Saturday's match included Lorenzo Hernandez as head official, with assistants Kyle Atkins and Eduardo Jeff, and Joshua Encarnacion serving as fourth official; VAR duties were handled by Sorin Stoica and AVAR by Joshua Patlak.
