St. Louis CITY SC achieved a 2-0 win against CF Montréal at Stade Saputo on Saturday night. Conrad Wallem scored his first goal for the club and in Major League Soccer, putting St. Louis ahead early in the match. The team maintained its lead going into halftime.

Marcel Hartel added to the score in the 55th minute with his sixth goal of the MLS season, assisted by João Klauss and Sangbin Jeong. The defense was effective, recording eight tackles and preventing Montréal from registering any shots on target during the second half.

This victory marked St. Louis CITY SC’s sixth clean sheet of the year and their second road win of the 2025 season. The team has now recorded two wins over Canadian MLS teams in its history.

Several players reached milestones during this match. Wallem contributed to his fourth goal involvement of 2025, while Hartel scored his seventh goal across all competitions this year. Klauss registered his first assist of the season, Jeong his second, and Seth Antwi made his MLS debut. Goalkeeper Roman Bürki earned his fourth shutout for the year.

For Montréal, Jonathan Sirois started as goalkeeper with defenders Luca Petrasso, Brandan Craig, Fernando Alvarez (substituted by Efrain Morales in the 56th minute), and Dawid Bugaj (replaced by Bode Hildalgo in the 86th minute). Samuel Piette received a caution in the 51st minute; Victor Loturi was also cautioned late in the game.

St. Louis’s lineup included Bürki in goal; defenders Wallem, Fallou Fall, Henry Kessler, Devin Padelford; midfielders Chris Durkin (substituted by Alfredo Morales at 61 minutes), Eduard Löwen (Seth Antwi at 85 minutes), Sangbin Jeong (Mykhi Joyner at 61 minutes), Marcel Hartel, Célio Pompeu (Brendan McSorley at 73 minutes); and forward João Klauss.

The referee for this match was Ismir Pekmic with assistant referees Gianni Facchini and Ben Pilgrim; Renzo Villaneuva served as an additional assistant referee while Jair Marrufo handled VAR duties alongside AVAR Mike Kampmeinert.

St. Louis CITY SC will next travel to California to play San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. CT.
