Blues trade Corey Schueneman to Capitals for Calle Rosen

The St. Louis Blues have traded defenseman Corey Schueneman to the Washington Capitals in exchange for defenseman Calle Rosen, according to an announcement by Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong.

Calle Rosen will join the Springfield Thunderbirds, the Blues’ AHL affiliate. This season, Rosen has played nine games with the Hershey Bears, the Capitals’ AHL affiliate, where he registered seven points with one goal and six assists.

Rosen, who is from Vaxjo, Sweden, has accumulated 198 points and 148 penalty minutes over 360 career regular-season games in the AHL. He has also played parts of six seasons in the NHL. Between 2021 and 2024, Rosen was a member of the Blues for three seasons. During the 2022-23 campaign, he appeared in 49 regular-season games for St. Louis and achieved a personal best with 18 points on eight goals and ten assists.
