The 19th annual Fall Stars Game, a highlight of the Arizona Fall League season, will take place Sunday at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona. The event brings together top-performing prospects from across Major League Baseball’s farm systems and will be broadcast live on MLB Network and MLB.com at 8 p.m. ET.

This year’s rosters feature eight players ranked among MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects, split evenly between the American League (AL) and National League (NL) squads. Leading the AL is Detroit Tigers shortstop Kevin McGonigle, currently ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect. He is joined by Kansas City Royals catcher Blake Mitchell (No. 62), Seattle Mariners outfielder Jonny Farmelo (No. 75), and Chicago White Sox left-hander Hagen Smith (No. 88). Representing the NL are Cincinnati Reds catcher Alfredo Duno (No. 48), right-hander Rhett Lowder (No. 80), third baseman Cam Collier (No. 94), and Colorado Rockies slugger Charlie Condon (No. 61). It was noted that Lowder will not pitch in the game.

René Rivera of the Scottsdale Scorpions will manage the AL team, while Jesus Azuaje of the Surprise Saguaros will lead the NL squad, with support from their respective coaching staffs.

The final spots on each roster are being determined through fan voting, which concludes Friday at 8 p.m. ET. For the AL, candidates include Braden Montgomery (Glendale/White Sox No.1/MLB No.35), Charlie Pagliarini (Peoria/Seattle), and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (Mesa/Athletics No.10). In contention for the NL are Patrick Clohisy (Glendale/Atlanta), Sam Petersen (Scottsdale/Washington Nationals No.24), and Cole Mathis (Mesa/Cubs No.17).

The Fall Stars Game has a history of featuring future major league stars such as Gerrit Cole, Max Scherzer, Royce Lewis, Pete Alonso, and Ronald Acuña Jr., with rosters selected by AFL staff, farm directors, and MLB.com writers prior to final fan voting.

A complete list of players for both leagues includes notable catchers Ethan Anderson (Peoria/Orioles) and Juan Flores (Salt River/Angels No.17) for the AL; Owen Ayers (Mesa/Cubs) and Chris Suero (Scottsdale/Mets No.15) for the NL; as well as several infielders and outfielders representing various major league organizations’ top prospects.

Several pitchers named to each roster are listed as unavailable to play due to various reasons.

More information about top prospects participating in this year’s event can be found through MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects coverage online.
