Jimmy Crooks, the No. 6 prospect for the St. Louis Cardinals, matched his career high with four hits during a game for Triple-A Memphis. Crooks doubled twice and extended his hitting streak to nine games. In August, he has been among the top hitters in Minor League Baseball, posting a .375 batting average, a .437 on-base percentage, and a .531 slugging percentage with six extra-base hits and 12 RBIs. He has hit safely in 15 of 16 games this month and set personal bests with 13 home runs and 75 RBIs this season.

Other prospects also made notable performances across Minor League Baseball. Jordan Lawlar of the Arizona Diamondbacks hit his first home run since June 17 after returning from injury, bringing his total to 11 homers for the season and recording hits in all five games since coming off the injured list.

Jesús Made continued his strong start at High-A Wisconsin with his second home run for the team. The Milwaukee Brewers' top prospect added a stolen base, single, and walk to improve his slash line to .364/.441/.635 over 13 games for the Timber Rattlers.

Bryce Eldridge of Triple-A Sacramento ended a seven-game homerless streak by hitting his 13th home run of the season. Despite two stints on the injured list this year, Eldridge has reached at least 20 homers for the second straight season.

Aidan Miller had three hits including two doubles for Double-A Reading, continuing an impressive August where he is batting .338 with a .425 on-base percentage and .574 slugging percentage.

Spencer Jones of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre hit his 31st home run of the season, tying him for the Minor League lead with Ryan Ward from Oklahoma City.

Ike Irish recorded his first professional home run just six games into his career with Single-A Delmarva after being selected as the No. 19 overall pick in last month's draft.

Miguel Ullola delivered six scoreless innings for Triple-A Sugar Land, marking his best performance in a month and lowering his ERA to its lowest level since 2022.

Mason Neville hit his first professional home run as part of another four-hit game for Single-A Daytona; it was Neville's second four-hit performance in five games since being drafted by Cincinnati.
