St. Louis CITY SC Academy's Lorenzo Cornelius and Owen Jorgensen have been selected for the 2025 MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate. This is the first instance of two players from CITY SC being chosen for this event.

The match, featuring 44 top players from MLS NEXT academies, will be an East versus West conference showdown at Parmer Field in Austin, Texas, on July 21 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game offers young talents a national stage to showcase their skills and will be streamed live on MLS’ YouTube channel.

For fans interested in attending, there is free admission available with ticket registration. Cornelius and Jorgensen will participate in various All-Star Week activities including team training, the All-Star Skill Challenge on July 22, and the MLS All-Star Game on July 23.

Cornelius, aged 17, began his professional journey earlier this year with St Louis CITY2’s roster for the season. He has played six matches totaling 135 minutes and contributed to CITY2's leading position in the Western Conference standings with a record of 10-4-1. He also played for the U.S. U-17 Men’s Youth National Team during the CONCACAF U-17 Qualifiers earlier this year.

Jorgensen plays for CITY SC’s U-15 squad which went undefeated this spring season with an impressive record of 8-0-1. His performances helped them reach the semifinals of the MLS NEXT Cup in 2025. Jorgensen has been called up five times to represent the U.S. U-15 Men’s Youth National Team.

Cornelius and Jorgensen are among other notable CITY SC players like Fritz Volmar (2022), Caden Glover (2023), and Tyson Pearce (last year) who have made it to previous rosters of the MLS NEXT Pro All-Star game.
