St Louis CITY2 will look to continue their unbeaten run when they face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Wednesday, August 6. The match is set for 8:00 p.m. CT at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, British Columbia, and will be streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com.

CITY2 recently extended their streak to ten matches without a loss after defeating Minnesota United FC 2 by a score of 4-0 on July 27. Brendan McSorley scored his sixth goal of the season, followed by Miguel Perez who added another shortly after. Cam Cilley scored his first professional goal, and Caden Glover finished the scoring with CITY2’s fourth goal of the night. Goalkeeper Colin Welsh secured his fourth clean sheet this year, while Eddie Niles became the youngest player to appear for CITY2 at age 14.

Brendan McSorley has contributed six goals and six assists this season for a total of twelve goal contributions. Emil Jääskeläinen also reached ten goal contributions with five goals and five assists.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 currently sit in sixth place in the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference standings with a record of seven wins, eight losses, and four draws (28 points). In their most recent game on July 31 against Sporting Kansas City at Swangard Stadium, Vancouver lost 3-2. Over their last five games, Vancouver have earned two victories—against Houston Dynamo 2 (4-2) and Ventura County FC (2-1).

Nelson Pierre leads Vancouver with eleven goals this season, tying him with CITY2’s Mykhi Joyner for second place overall in goals scored in MLS NEXT Pro. Rayan Elloumi and Jackson Castro have each recorded six assists for Vancouver.
